1.  Engineering studies are completed for Warm Springs Project and construction has started; studies are underway for the Livermore extension with a construction date set within 2 years.

       2.  Systemic retrofit project is more than 50% complete-BART is more earthquake safe.

       3.  Change out in BART car carpeting to linoleum is complete and cars are easier to clean.

        4.   BART has completed a study to coordinate schedules with other transit agencies, chiefly busses, and a pilot is being conducted to provide smoother flow of patrons from one agency to the next.

        5.  The office of Manager of Security Programs (Dan Hartwig) is now partnered with an Emergency Managers position, an “All Hazards” BART Emergency Plan has been implemented, and BART is a regional key planner for major disaster events.  In the event of a major earthquake, BART has one of the top priorities for resources to restore service.
